Description:	Johnson Machinery Co. was established in 1940 when W. Ruel Johnson assumed ownership of Freeland Tractor in Riverside. There were twelve associates. Today, Johnson Machinery Co. has ten locations throughout Southern California and over 600 employees. Johnson Machinery, located in Riverside, is the heavy equipment division and headquarters for the company. The division sells sales, parts, service and rentals of Caterpillar equipment for the earthmoving industry. Johnson Rental Services offers wide range of Caterpillar compact construction equipment and other allied products with locations in Fontana,Indio, Riverside, Temecula and Victorville. In 1977, Johnson Power Systems was built to house the truck engine and commercial engine operations. Located across the street from Johnson Machinery in Riverside, this division provides Riverside and San Bernardino Counties sales, parts, service and rentals of Caterpillar engines. Johnson Power Systems is also the Sullair Air Compressor dealer for the Southern California area. In 1992, Johnson became the Hyster Lift Truck dealer for Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego Counties as well as part of Western Arizona. The six locations provide material handling products to all of Southern California and Baja Norte area if Mexico. The stores, located in Oxnard, City of Industry, Anaheim, Riverside, San Diego and Yuma, AZ offer forklift sales, parts, service and rentals. The Company's fourth division is Ever-Pac, a full-service machine shop, is located behind Johnson Machinery's Used Parts Department. Operations at Ever-Pac include precision machining and salvage repair for most major makes of components and engines. Johnson Machinery Co. is proud to provide the best products and service to our customers in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and the surrounding areas. Throughout the Company's history and success of 60 years, one consistent theme has always been present: "Treat people fairly, whether customer or associate. Provide good products and service at reasonable prices."
