| Description: | WE’VE BEEN MOVING AND IMPROVING WATER SINCE 1934 Sta-Rite Industries has been finding new ways to move and improve water ever since our founder built a pump that was “built right to stay right,” because, he said, “water is never where you need and want it most.” The company was incorporated October 4, 1934. Today, we’re stronger than ever with several consecutive years of record sales (more than $500 million in 2002) and a workforce of 2,300 employees located throughout the world. Our pumps and water systems, filters and accessories move and improve water for a limitless number of applications including residential, agricultural and industrial use. We make a complete line of pool and spa products including pumps and filters, cleaners, heaters, lights, fittings and accessories. Our recent move to expand our holdings in water treatment is making us able to compete in a rapidly growing market with almost limitless growth potential. Sta-Rite products are sold in more than 100 countries and international sales are increasing. Besides our domestic manufacturing operations in Delavan, Wisconsin; Grand Island, Nebraska; Dover, New Hampshire and Murrieta, Long Beach and South el Monte, California, we have plants in Australia, Germany, Italy, Mexico and New Zealand. In recent years we’ve added joint venture operations in India, Kazakhstan and, most recently, China. We regularly ask our customers what they want most from us. The product performance, technical support and customer service they’ve asked for have become a part of a Vision Statement, that has been woven into all aspects of the organization from component purchasing to the end product that reaches the shelves. Customers love our new and innovative submersible pumps, jets and sprinklers, sump, sewage and effluent pumps, pressure tanks that offer a choice of either steel or fibrewound. Our swimming pool and spa products can be found in the homes of some of Hollywood’s most famous stars and in popular resorts and water parks throughout the world. And we’re quickly becoming a recognized name in water treatment / filtration. Sta-Rite’s biggest ingredient for success, however, is posted on a huge sign for all to see in our main plant and headquarters building in Delavan.
